This website is operated by Scottish Pictures, a map and print gallery based in Edinburgh. It is hosted on Squarespace who provide us with the on-line e-commerce platform which allows us to sell our products to you, the customer.

All maps and prints are offered subject to prior sale and remain the property of Scottish Pictures until payment is received in full.

Ordering

Placing an order through the Scottish Pictures website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected item(s). On receipt of an order we shall Email the person initiating the order to confirm availability of the item(s), formally accept the order and check that we have a full and correct shipping address.

Map and print sizes are shown height x width in millimetres, usually alongside an image and brief description of the product in question. The size quoted is for the engraved image excluding the paper margins.

Product Description

Most of the items on the website are genuine antiques from the 16 – 19th C. Reproduction maps and prints are clearly stated as such and priced accordingly

Dates specified for an item are believed to be accurate

We only use the term “original colour” if the hand colouring was done around the time of production of the item; “hand coloured” includes all subsequent colouring including modern or recent hand colouring by a professional colourist
